1 Domain - Entertainment (car model 1)
During these meetings, we often had the valuable input of developers who had already carried out some implementation work. They would suggest necessary corrections, enhancing the effectiveness of our solutions.
My specific role in this project was focused on the maintenance of the entertainment wireframes.
Although I did not participate in the initial creative process, I had the autonomy to make productive changes to the Design System when necessary, such as creating or modifying components.
Given the extensive scope of each domain, my work was ensuring that all changes and updates were accurately applied, keeping the project aligned with our objectives and responsive to client needs. This structured facilitated a smooth workflow and fostered a collaborative environment where each team member could contribute their expertise towards the project's success.
Three UX designers within our team collaborated on developing this presentation. The client set it as a prerequisite before initiating the design of another car model, which we will refer to as "Model Two" due to NDA restrictions. Our analysis focused on trend research through the latest articles available on the internet, specifically targeting South Asia.
Among the most influential trends in the automotive industry were "EV Honor" and "Gamification."
The concept of EV Honor revolves around a customer's pride when purchasing an electric vehicle (EV) and contributing positively to the environment.
Gamification and persuasive technologies are crucial in shaping behaviours to achieve desired outcomes, such as enhancing customer loyalty, increasing health awareness, or fostering eco-friendly mindsets. For instance, incorporating gamification elements like CO2 consumption visuals, badges, and other interactive features into eco-driving can reinforce the EV Honor approach.
These techniques engage users and promote sustainable practices through a rewarding and interactive experience, aligning perfectly with current trends that emphasise environmental consciousness and interactive technology in vehicle design.
Buyer perception begins before the actual interaction with the car or its infotainment system.
Digital experience centres such as those from Porsche, Mercedes and Mini are gaining significant attention for their immersive digital experiences provided to customers to connect with the brand. This provides a gateway to new customers.
“If you’re turning on some functionality, you as a driver don’t have an understanding of why the car behaves in a certain way", Augmented reality can bridge the gap between what the car can do and how the user perceives it.
Introducing AR features in onboarding or external interactions can prove beneficial for OEMs.

Confidence and knowledge of electric vehicles remain low. Affordability, charging infrastructure, and battery concerns are still a leading concern.
Range Anxiety: Is an increasing concern amongst consumers. Battery and charging know-how remain vital hurdles to EV adoption.
