My contributions

I owned the UX strategy from day one. Using a Lean UX approach, I rapidly defined the user profiles, mapped their mental models around off-road driving modes, and translated complex engineering data into clear interaction flows. I built the wireframes that gave the UI team a solid foundation to work from. The entire UX layer, from user definition to flow logic, was delivered in under one month to meet a tight client deadline.

The challenge

Ford needed a concept for an off-road app inside the Raptor's infotainment system, fast. The complexity wasn't just technical, it was translating driving modes like baja, snow, rocks or tow into interfaces that both experienced and casual drivers could understand intuitively. Speed and clarity had to coexist.

Design Opportunities

  • Intuitive drive mode selector that simplifies the transition between modes with fewer steps

    • Create an online platform for off-road enthusiasts to connect and join off-road communities

    • Personalisation of the driving modes depending on the daily commutes

    • Augmented reality drive mode indicators

    • Gamification as a technik for UX and UI

    Solutions

    • An intuitive interface that adapts to engineering data and makes complex features easy to understand for both advanced and basic drivers.

    • A feature called “My Raptor”, where the truck learns your daily routines and adjusts the suspension automatically, with personalisation options.

    • A community section that helps users connect with other off-road drivers, share tips, and plan group trips.

    • AR overlays in the head-up display show visual cues of terrain changes and active drive modes in real time.

    • A gamified experience that rewards users with points and badges after each off-road adventure.
